A few years ago I was really wanting one of these! Didn't realise the price had dropped so much! Maybe time to get saving!

6.5L is crazy for a car made in 1965! It's weird pretty much all the cars over there have at least a V6. We had a Dodge people carrier and it had a V6 3.2L that did 17mpg average! Although petrol prices over there are super cheap, so it was probably the equivalent of running a 35mpg car over here. I thought it was funny because I saw a massive billboard advertising the new ford fiesta and it's main selling point on the ad was the 40 miles to the gallon that it did, as if no car over there does that haha!

I'm looking for a Car for under £600 that is cheap to run. Best I can come up with that is decent is probably a Mk3 Golf Diesel, one of my mates has one and he says its reliable, isn't rusting fast and is cheap on fuel. Looking to maybe sell the VR to save a bit of money at the moment possibly. Any ideas? Thanks!

Wow, thats really interesting, considering hamster on Top Gear said the rear wheels were held together by a big girder! They must be getting better at handling. I suppose its all fit for purpose, over here we have mostly windy roads so good cornering is essential (well maybe), but in America its all straight so no need. Yeah the mustangs look awesome too! Only saw like 2 Golfs over there, no Corrado's :(

Just wondering what people thought of them? I have just come back from Florida and I can say that I haven't had a good opinion on these cars, but this is mainly due to watching top gear and hearing them getting slagged off constantly! But I saw a load of Mustang's and Camaro's and id have to say I think (especially the Camaro) they look like really good cars. I mean take the Camaro, it's got a 6.2L V8 and it costs under $30000! Granted its only 400hp but still thats really good price! Standing next to these cars they are massive and just looked like no other car id seen before. Coming back over here all the cars look really small, maybe its just my taste but I quite like the big car with big engine! Your probably going to say handling is shit though because of the grid system in america but to be honest I get the most thrills out of my rado going in a straight line anyway lol! bob.jpg[/attachment:2nwdh820]

The Road 6/10 Apocalyptic drama, represents what it would be like if the world did end, but just so damn depressing from beginning to end! Maybe should have scored it higher because that is what it set out to achieve, but never been so depressed after a film!

yea 92 vr6. Thanks for the quick replies. Love this forum! Oh one question, if you unplugged it from a working VR6 and let the engine run, what is likely to happen? would it affect performance? got a major problem where car seems to be really stuttery and looses power after 3500rpm (feels like its hitting the limiter or fuel isnt getting in...). We have tried changing spark plugs, leads, fuel filter. Nothing seems to be working, we unplugged this and it seems the same but surely it shouldnt be? :brickwall:

EXACT same thing happening to mine at the moment, fine up till 3000rpm then feels like its hit the limiter and no power. We are going to get a new lambda sensor because we pulled it out and it made no difference to engine running and surely it should?! if it works ill let you know, should be done by the end of the week.

Any idea where I could get one of these for the cheapest price? Cheers, Dan
