Relisting, Now 1 years mot and tax, wheels now as new (Spit and Polish Tonbridge) Offers over £2200 considered. My mother bought this car new in 1992. She has maintained the car thoroughly and I have a comprehensive file of all service and maintenance work done including the original bill of sale and some major engine overhaul work (around £5,000 on an engine and gearbox overhaul at 118,000 miles). All work done by VW then John Bowles, a VW specialist in Sevenoaks. It has done 158,000 miles at a very sedate pace and is completely standard except the stereo. It is a two owner car including me, and I can answer any question about the cars entire history. It has never been in an accident so is guaranteed straight, it did have a replacement second hand wing and bumper (thanks shaunG60) when she got her foot stuck and nudged it down a wall in a supermarket however. The interior is fantastic, the following need attention to bring it up to a perfect example:- The thin strip (slam panel?) has some denting and paint missing under the passenger side headlight after the supermarket incident. There is a small patch of corrosion behind the driver side front wheel, shown in the picture. There are stone chips and signs of use here and there, no more than expected for mileage It's an Automatic (may be a good thing!) It has aircon fitted but it needs a regas The sunroof has something wrong with it, if it opens it doesn't shut again, it's shut and watertight at the moment. Overall a very clean, much loved, fast car that has been garaged all its life. Located Northiam East Sussex -
MOT until May 2014, wheels now as new (Spit and Polish Tonbridge) Offers over £2000 considered. Selling on behalf of my mother who bought this car new in 1992. She has maintained the car regardless of cost and I have a comprehensive file of all service and maintenance work done including the original bill of sale and some major engine overhaul work (around £5,000 on the engine and gearbox at 118,000 miles). All work done by VW then John Bowles, a VW specialist in Sevenoaks. It has done 155,000 miles at a very sedate pace and is completely standard except the stereo. It is a rare find with two owners (she thought she was being kind putting me on the logbook!) and I can answer any question about the cars entire history. It has never been in an accident, it had a replacement wing when she got her foot stuck and nudged it down a wall in Waitrose. The pictures speak for themselves. The interior is fantastic but the car is not perfect however, the following need attention to bring it up to a perfect example:- The thin strip (slam panel?) has some denting and paint missing under the passenger side headlight after the waitrose incident. There is a patch of corrosion behind the driver side front wheel as seen in the photo. MOT until May 2013, tax until end of October. Viewing is recommended and I will be happy to give test rides etc if required. After some research I believe this is a fair asking price,

Shameless plug http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=121099400895 My immaculate factory roof bars on Ebay! Probably breaking the rules by plugging an Ebay ad but I'm selling these for an elderly relative and I gather they're rare so I wanted to get the word out. Hope that's not too rude for a bit of a one-off! Mike

I have a pair! Wasn't thinking of selling them though. What kind of money do they go for?

Cheers Jim, will post some pics up in a day or two!

Hello, I registered on here a while ago to source a new wing for my mother's Corrado (Thanks ShaunG60) so I'm not technically a newbie, but I am now the new owner of her car as she got a £200 trade in offer!! Insult!! It's a dragon green Auto VR6 with tan leather interior and aircon that she bought new in 1992, and I have a service history about six inches thick. She garaged it every day and addressed every problem as it arose- quite a unique car and a feeling of responsibility to take it on. Shame I have now doubled the amount of owners on the logbook! I have already had some great info from the forum and hope I will be able to contribute as well. In the meantime I am enjoying driving a truly great car! So Hello to all, Mike (Rye area)
