  1. thanks guys. Will endure the pain and jack it up.
  2. hi all. Been a while since ive been on but im back. I have a clunkin from the front drivers wheel. Mainly when steering at low speed . Any ideas on what it is. havnt had a look yet as i got trapped nerve in my spine. Gonna be a painful weekend
  3. hi mate. Not familiar with the 1.8 kr but have you searched the forum. There is a wealth of info on here from isv to throttle bodie. Mine had similar idle issues and after searching and replacing most bits turned out to be the metering haed. I got a 2.0 9a so like i said im unsure on the kr do a search mate and read lots
  4. i wonder how much they cost us - the taxpayer/motorist imagine how much more s**t this country would be in if we all drove elec cars and kept to speed limits. Then again they would probably just hike price of elec up W - anchors time for flippy round no plates. Proper Bond stylie
  5. that c with red bonnet is an example of the quickest way to devalue your C. Well imo anyhoo how do you get in when some t**t parks tight to your car in a car park
  6. sorted. Think it was a loose wire in back of fb thank god had a bit of a set to with the guy that nearly ran into me. I blamed him for driving up my ass. Felt stoopid when i checked lights and they didnt come on. Doh!!!!!! Corrados eh. Love them to drive .hate them when they go wrong thanks for the reply anyway firecracker if only Corrados were as reliable as this forum.lol. :)
  7. hi all found out today that i got no brake lights. Checked lamps and fuse all ok. Just tested the wires into the pedal switch and i got no power there any ideas? Nearly had car rear ended on way home.thats how i found out now im stumped
  8. the metering head is what sits on top of the air box can stick shut or open a bit when worn it controls the flow of petrol to injectors
  9. i suffered with idle probs too. Changed isv three times .throttle bodie cleaned then replaced. Still not joy. Seemed lumpy on idle. Then had bit of luck out scrapyard and found a passat took metering head off it paid a tenner swopped it over and problem sorted. Wicked try that mate

    VW Badge idea?

i work with coloured film designed to go into double glazed windows. And i filmed mine with something called tennesse tiffany which gives off all colors of rainbow. Will try and get a pic up but it dont come out well with a camera
  11. i did use tap safe additive and this is my third tank in ten years. Had a six footer built into wall under stairs. I feel there is a lot of un needed worry with fish keeping as they are quite hardy and will adapt. Been a angler since i was six and have quite good knowledge of coldwater fish. In my last tank the heater failed and i was working away. It was cold for three days and not one fish died. Hard to believe i know i couldnt believe it either. Its the plants i find hard
  12. oh btw ive never ever done a water check? I filled the tank left it for five days and gradually introduced fish. Did go thro a few plants before i found ones that would grow in the gravel. The ones on half a coconut shell seem great
  13. its a amazon tank from world of water. It is a corner one and like you said with a flat bit on the back. It was missing the light unit but i made one up. Now to be utterly honest i havnt touched this tank in six months not even a water change!!!! Now feeling quite bad about that :( i cant remember the name of the fish but i have: 2 with black stripes along the middle which love the 'little green hairs' that usually grow on leaves. 2 sucker loach which love the green on the glass. 2 albino catfish which eats anything on the gravel. 1 shark which eats most things 2 snake like loaches with tiger stripes on em .black stripes on light orange body. 1 fighter and about 20 various types of tetras. I use a eheim external filter and two heaters set on low. Did go through about three differnt filters from fluval and the like and did suffer with a bit of green but the eheim has bio filter media inside and its done very well. It did cost me a bit more but spares are readily available. Im glad i paid extra now.it sits below the tank so water changes is a matter of closing the tap. Disconnecting the filter and draining the water down a bit. I truly got new found inspiration now and on me way out to get my buckets and spare media for filter clean and water change this afto
  14. thanks . Its actually a marine tank but i got it ex display for £80 rather than 300. Have neglected it recently but its still very clean. I got three types of algae eating loaches and they help a lot. Also got a moss ball which is meant to help keep the water clear or so i was told. Reading this thread has kicked my ass into gear again. Gonna clean out filter and treat it to some more plants and fish in next few weeks. My fatherinlaw has one too with a co2 jobby for the plants to grow but his tank is very green. Thanks again mate youve made me feel the love again :)
  15. pic of mine isnt it funny how most owners/members have more than just their c in common
