    Head is off engine at the moment.

     

    Ideal quick project car.

    Can offer drop off.

     

    New parts-

    Water pump

    all new gaskets

    air flow metre

    distributor the whole thing

    exhaust system (parts)

    ALL the basics spark plugs oil filter ect

    new front windscreen and rubbers 0 miles

    Porsche replica wheels new avon tyres on front

    Loads more parts but you get the picture

    I have changed the distributer, distributer cap, rotor arm, spark plugs, air flow metre, new fuel pump, cleaned fuel lines, rocker cover gasket, central silencer, retune engine, clean injectors, cam gasket and cleaned the throttle body.

     

    The car revs up and down but not as much now I've changed the parts. you can really feel the car rock when turning the engine off. Just want to know if anybody had done a compression test on a 2.0L 16v 9A and what was the outcome. I think It might be a dodgy valve, maybe not ceiling properly?

    Thanks for the reply. I fitted the new distributer but runs really bad (un drivable)

    I connected the ht leads back on the same way as they were before. But.

     

    What is the static and dynamic timing specification?

     

    If anybody could help with some info on this would be much appreciated?

    HI ALL

     

    Need a distributer for a 1993 2.0L 16v?

    Bought one from gsf and fitted myself now it runs horrible and dose not idle.

    anybody had the same problem? what part number do I need?

     

    If anybody has one for sale or knows whats up please help.

    Hello people.

     

    my bump strip is about to fall off. I think I know how to get it off, With hot water?

    But my main question is what do I stick it back on with? I was thinking sikaflex or is that a bit OTT?

    What have you guys used?

    Hi

     

    I have a 93 2.0l 16v. Few problem with engine.

    symptoms-

    idles high randomly

    idles low randomly

    cut out totally randomly then takes about five minuets to start.

    Throttle can feel a bit sticky.

    mpg is lucky to over 20.

     

    I have done the obvious and changed sparks, rotor arm, fuel filter, oil filter and air filter.

     

    I have now taken it to FIVE different garages who have all said different things. Two of the mechanics I know

    and said you need to take it to a specialist who deals with these engines. dose anyone know of any 'specialists'

    in the Bournemouth or Dorset area? Or from the description have any ides of what I can do? please.
