After many people giving varied theories, I tried the WD40 on the plug, then re-sync and bam it started. VERY VERY Happy. Thanks CazzaVR
  2. Looking better after a good jet wash Looks can be deceiving...
  3. Hence the name Project Corrodo.... Oh well I have my work cut out for me now
  4. Here are the first pics of quite an ambitious project I have undertaken. The car – a 2.0 16v 1995 ‘N’ - was rescued from a friend of a friend’s driveway after being stood for 3 years; I did not pay much for it as it was a non runner and in pretty bad shape inside and out. I have 2 months to turn it into a car that will not look out of place on stands at major shows up and down the country this year. I will never be able to get it mint but if I can get it looking well with a modern dare I say ‘stance’ I will be happy. All the suspension brakes and many of the chassis components need replacing, the wrong head gasket had been fitted after it had a head rebuild following a cam belt failure, so first thing will be to try and get the engine running and go from there. Never had a Corrado before so looking forward to the challenge no matter how it turns out – it has to e better than seeing a car I am such a fan of go to scrap heaven

Could I ask where the immobiliser box is located on the car I think mine might be playing up as I get an initial fire then the whole engine cuts out. Thanks
  6. Hi Guys, First would like to say I have used this forum a couple of times when in desperate need in the last week or so and it has now become and indispensable tool, so to repay I thought I would share with you;) They call me Nick and I have recently acquired a 1995 N plate Bramble 2.0 16v Corrado. The car has been stood for 3 years and was in quite a state the scrap merchants were circling, I am a VW fan and have always harboured a desire for a Corrado I could not bare to see it taken away on the back of a flat bed transit, so I parted with £150.00 and now own a fairly tatty quite rusty definite non running Corrado... I will start a build thread for anyone who cares, and will probably post continually in the the parts wanted section. All advice tips and tricks welcome. Thanks
