So got the rear beam bolted on and built the suspension up would of been rude not to get the wheels on and push it out side

I've just ordered some plates to weld to the axle that will give me a bit of control for camber and toe and rear caliper mounts so j can build up 280 mm on the rears should go nicely with the 335s on the front

So as promised a few photos

Plan to go up this weekend and get the axle converted to haldex will post up some pictures when I'm done with that

So it appears that I'm the worst human for keeping things up to date.

So I have been busy although the car looks exactly the same I've been collecting parts, and lots of them

I've picked up a full haldex running gear, full syncro rear beam and diff with the vr6 rear arms. I've gone wide track all round but keeping the 4x100 so I can keep my wheels.

Oh and lastly I bought the dogs you know what's suspension in the form of avo gtx.

The plan is to get it on its wheels before the end of the year just waiting on the syncro axle mounts turning up I will upload pictures when I get chance I'm at work At the moment although there are a few on instagram @rado_sean

I moved in to a unit with a few mates and before long I had a shell of a corrado

So the plan is track car I'm slowly building an engine I've got a 1.8t block that has been bored out I have pistons to match and a 2.0 tfsi crank

Next in the list are some rods

Opps this is the unit from under the dash

Evening guys and girls

So yesterday I finished work came to the car and tried to unlock the car with the fob like always, and nothing the light still flashed but no response from the car, typically all the locks on the car are different :( so after braking in to my own car it wont start due to being immobilised.

Now my question is does anybody have the same system its an optional extra from factory as far as I can see

I've recently lost my job so the vr6 has to go :(

This is a classic green vr6

Mileage is at 167.080k

Ive just fitted a new clutch which has done 30 miles max

Also had genuine head gasket and head bolts

And genuine timing chain tensioners so the engine is sweet

The best feature of the car is the paint I recently got 80% of the car resprayed (both sides both bumpers and the bonnet)

the car also has fitted koni shocks and springs with adjustable dampening that haven't seen many miles

Also has a stainless steel cat back exhaust

It has black leather with heated fronts

all electrics work apart form the sunroof which only slides

Only down side to the car is it needs a foglight and a head light apart from that ut is a very sold car waiting to be loved and used

The car is located in kendal cumbria

price is £2700

Yeah the seats where a bit tatty and always fancied some bucket seats :)

Engine wise think im going to go 1.8t then go gt28 but see where it goes from there

Yeah that is the plan im going to pull all around the handbrake out and get the gear stick a little lower

It shouldnt be 2.0 16v for long got some plans floating round my head for under the bonnet :)

So it turns out Im really crap at updating threads haha

since my last update there hasn't been a lot of work apart from the basics services and the rest I've finial got it sitting right on the 17s :) and I've decided to go stripped out interior so I bought some buckets strut brace omp steering wheel and last but not least a CAE motorsport shifter :D and to follow the motorsport theme I found some 6 pot comp-brake brake kit going cheep they came with 350mm disc's they did fit behind the wheels but tad over kill so bought some 335mm ones

Had a look around the cars in the the car parks, but didn't pay to go into the show. Bit burned out with VW shows these days, and that side of it just doesn't really interest me any more - but good to see the show so busy and steadily getting larger each year. Thumping music and bagged cars on Bentley wheels just isn't for me any more.

 

Some interesting stuff in the car parks though - there was a very cool white Corrado on white Compomotives, totally stripped out and running what appeared to be a sequential gearbox? Couldn't determine what engine it was, but looked pretty damn cool! Also a very nice old late 70's Alpina BMW parked in that same field!

Thats my rado its a 2.0 16v for now :) that gear shifter is a cae motorsport 1 so its still h pattern

Hiya i have a 92 16v last night i just went out for a bit at it started fine any way i parked up and turned it off when i went to turn it on again it just cracked over but wouldn't start after trying that for a bit decided to try and bump it of and it started straight away and runs fine

Any help would be appreciated

Thank you very much :-) i will have a look this weekend as it happens i have a spare throttle body under the bed :-P so i can try that as well

So i have a 2.0 16v and the problem is it some time struggles to idle once turned on but then will be fine but when it warms up it starts to idle at 1800 but if i blip the throttle it some time settles down again but its not been settling down recently

Could it be metering head ?

Also when it warm and idle normaly it revs up and down i had a vw mechanic look at this when i originally put the engine in and he didn't know what it could be

That's good to know what are the specs of your engine im going to start collecting parts and the like. Id love to but im cumbria :-(

Is the 230 bhp what its at now or is that what your aiming for ?

Sorry to hyjack the thread but i have a few questions im looking at doing this to mine with similar specs what's the power delivery like ? Hows the mpg's and what's like like to drive?

And a quick p/shop in possible colour choice

I have some other colour ideas like silver or anthersite or maybe even a nice candy red what does everyone think ?

Hiya just a quick 1 if seen some compomotive mo5s in 17x8 with an et 11 what are the chances of these fitting my 16 v ?
