  1. VR6 | Blackberry metalic | Aberdeen

    Price: £3500

    Description:

hi folks due to changing circumstances i am putting my Corrado vr6 up for sale, the car is an N plate car with full service history, maninly VW dealers and a few independant garages as well. fantastic condition newly resprayed and serviced, below are the full details.

1994 corrado vr6 finished in Blackberry metallic

fully resprayed 2 months ago by specialist cars vw bodyshop to a fantastic standard

    No rust what so ever

131 000 miles on the clock

    5 owners from new

    Great condition

    £3800

Sunroof works, windows work and the spoiler all work, very unusaul for these cars

The car as stated above is in great condition with no flaws, the underside is also compleatly solid and on numerous occasions has been said to be the tidiest example seen for a long time when in getting work done at garages.

it has 131 000 miles with great history and a huge folder full of reciepts showing previous work done by previous owners and myself. the car was owned for a large portion of its life by an older lady who was a corrado finnatic and spent thousands on upkeep as shown by the reciepts

The car is very near standard only with a few subtly modifications such as

KW variant 1 inox line coilovers, (the stainless steel ones) with a fantastic quality and ride quality

288mm front brakes from late spec MK3 golf vr6, fully refurbished with new seals, disks and pads these increase the stopping power hugely over the standard items.

Miltek cat back exhaust with centre section delete pipe which sounds fantastic.

Cone filter to further unleash the great sound, but standard airbox is also included.

bump strips removed, door handles color coded to give a cleaner apperance.

About the respray, when i bought the car it was very solid other than surface rusty spots and stone chips on the car, not bad for a 18 year old car though, but after getting my mk2 golf resprayed a year ago i decided to go down the same route to restore this car to its original glory. they have done a fantastic job, windows out respray and all imperfections fixed. i also have a spare fully painted wing to go with the car, this was done at a large sum of money but worth it in my eyes to restore the car. i regularly remove arch liners to remove any dirt and clean all components.

The engine is very sweet, having just been serviced also, with new plugs, leads, oil, filter e.c.t, there are no untoward noises from the timing chains due to having been very well maintained throughout its life. it pulls fantastically and sounds awesome. the fuel consumption is also good if driven cautiously returning 25mpg on my commute and up to 40mpg on a slow drive out the road. the cluts is also good. the car sits on mirror polished audi tt alloys which look lovely and are shod in 4 good tread tyres. the interior is also fabalous condition, the black cloth seats having been stream cleaned regularaly by myself.

so all in the car looks fantastic, goes great, stops brilliantly and has had so much done to it that it has been very reliable, it gets fantastic comments when at classic car shows or parked up due to being pretty rare now a days. i have put alot of time effort and money into this car due to being a VW nut, most weekends are spent pottering about painting week bits and servicing things that most people forget about.

i am only selling due to cutting down on the amount of cars we have at the house as 3 for myself is taking up too much space. will be very sad to see it go as it has been great but needs must i suppose.

I am looking for £ 3800 which i think is a good price for a car of this condition and with all the reciepts to back up work done and build a picture of the cars past, i am open to px only on a MK4 R32 golf.

the private reg is not included in the sale, it will come on the original plate.

    now for the pictures

Corrado and mk2 looks very nice, Ibiza looks familiar, where are you form ??

cheers ! i am from Aberdeen. i had spoken to you on eastside ! name on there is Acgtrider. cheers would be good to see your corrado

  3. Have you had an insurance quote? I know everyones saying about it, but its probably a good idea to find out! Good luck to you and hope you CAN make it work mate. Even at 30 in a good area with 7 years driving and no claims, it was pretty high without going classic insurance, which unfortunately may not be available for you at your age. Looks a very good example though, (unlike mine atm!) so good luck! :thumbleft:

oh yes many quotes have been done and are now a good price ! less than my mates are on 1.6 saxos and lupos :) so all is good :) cheers

  4. I hope you're sitting down when you get the quote through - they are group 18!

Nice to see someone as young as yourself who's not got the urge to start cutting holes in the car, and sticking body kits on.. your Golf and Ibiza look very clean too. Welcome to the forum :)

haha nope the qoutes are not bad at all :) yea always liked the classic stle or oem as they seem to call it :)

  5. thanks appreciated alot of time has gone into the Golf especially but i better not post all about it on here haha. yes it was indeed insane the Ibiza as soon as i passed my test at 17 was the wrong side of £2500 :( corrado is getting insured in 10 days cant wait :)

  6. well folks i think i have gone insane, i have just purchased a third car for myself and being 18 i get some funny looks.i buy all the cars and insure them with my own money and time and effort and wages from doing a marine engineering apprentiship :) i have always loved corrados and thought sod it i want one and its got to be a vr6 car is going to be a daily runner for me in march time so will get her all fixed up for then. 2.9 litre vr6 full service history and everything electrical works the spoiler, windows roof e.c.toh she seems to run well and pull hard and it came with kw variant coilovers.

got lots of plans for this :) balancing between the mk2 this and the ibiza.

Well folks got a wee bit of work done today, car had a hideous shake through steering turns out it was not the tracking but the bald tyres that were on, so i fitted the audi alloys and like the result and to my surprise no more shake. then undertook starting to clean the engine bay which has come up ok for a quick bit of work. new disks pads and hoses will be going on all round and i am ordering a filter/ induction kit to get the best from the noise.

    heres some pics

Well more cleaning took place today, got the interior done and decided to buy a cone filter, wgat a fantastic noise here we are, also went to polished bliss and collected a DAS6 power plus machine polisher kit so well chuffed.

The interior, shame its not leather but still nice.
