  1. Hi all,

I have an early 16v with manual windows and grey interior. I need a door card as per title, must be in good condition. Im located in Surrey so anywhere within reasonable travelling distance.

    Cheers

  2. Hi

I bought these in error. Bought direct from the dealership but wouldn't fit my early spec corrado 16v, so if anyone knows what set will fit my ap coilovers and last more than a few hundred miles your help would be much appreciated.

Bags open but never put on car, still have the VW picking slips on them.

They are mk3 golf gti but have been told by dealer they are the same for vr6 corrados.

    What's included:

    Top mounts x2 - 357 412 331A

Bearings x2 - don't know part no but are the correct ones

    Threaded bush x2 - 1H0 412 365A

    Top hats/ plates x2 - 357 412 319B

Can give you pics if required.

Looking for 45 posted. Still cheaper than the dealer.

Also available is an electric window set up. Included is the full loom, all switches (early spec) and control unit. All orginal vw parts, i may have 2 electric window motors that I can include as well, let me know if your interested. Pics available on request - I would rather not post this due to size and weight but if anyone is keen enough i'll look into it. Looking for around £100 for all this.

Black Rear bumper - good overall condition, £20 collected - pics available

    Any questions ask,

    Jimmy

  3. Nah its does it stationary and on the move, albeit not as bad on the move. Can't believe a set a meyle top mounts have lasted less than 600 miles.....:censored:

    Cheers for the help guys

  4. VR6 mounts are different to early mounts. You ideally need to match the top mount to whatever top plate is on your coilovers. I had problems when I tried to mix and match early and late.

If the nut on top of the top mounts is over tightened, it will lead to lots of creaking and clunking as the bearing won't be able to move. If you don't tighten them enough, they work loose and start knocking over bumps

Ok cheers, i'll get that checked out first. Another strange thing, before they were changed the mounts sat flush within the turret. Now the new ones don't, however its not enough of a gap as ive seen in the 'dead top mounts' thread.....

  5. Am also having the same problem having replaced both cv's AND top mounts. Its a pain in the ass. I have a 16v and replaced the top mounts with the meyle ones from vw heritage. Think i'm going to replace front wheel bearings because they are old and source another set of mounts. Anyone had experience with meyle HD top mounts apparently they are vr6 mounts and give a four year warranty on them? Mines lowered on a set of Ap coils so i'm guessing I won't need the vr6 top plates everyone says you need if you convert them??

  6. Ive decided im going to replace the two CVs and the rest of the susupension components anyway, even though im not convinced it going to sort the problem. After doing a bit of research, especially on the Canadian forum, it seems many Corrado owners have this problem. One cause that persistantly came up was the result of a cracked subframe. Anyone have any ideas on this??

  7. Im not sure about bearings because I didn't fit them. All I know is they were the upgrade meyle g60 ones from vw heritage. Front wheel bearings are old and so are the ball joints so ill give them ago. Cheers for the help guys. Much appreciated.

  8. If anything its more a mix of a click and a clunk, which I guess doesn't help much lol. I'll have a look at the exhaust. The whole system has been moving about and banging a lot recently too, even though I've replaced all mounts with poly ones. Would that likely be another symptom if it were the exhaust?

Carrots, surely if the noise is coming from the front end it wouldn't be something on the rear would it??

    Cheers guys

  9. Hi all

I have a 90 1.8 and recently I've been getting a clicking noise when turning the wheel at low speed/stand still. It goes or is very faint at higher speed. I've had the top mounts replaced and both outer cv's and its made no difference.

Any suggestions as to what it could be??

    Cheers
