Hi Guys Ive been having a few problems with my VR starting lately for the last 3 months its been starting ok with occasional problem days and then this morning its playing up again by turning over but not firing up? :x i have been through all the usual things and replaced and tested most of them over the last 3 months like HT leads, Spark Plugs, Battery, ISV, Crank Postion Sensor, Coil Pack, Ignition Switch, Relay 109, ive even had it VAGCOM Checked in the past but every time there are no faults logged??? any ideas of what else to look at? and is it ok to test/check for a spark against the engine block? or will it do damage to the electronics??? sorry for this being a stupid question. regards nigwell

Hi Ive been having a problem with my VR6 starting lateley, basically its been fine for the last 6 months and then last week it began starting here and there, today it just turns over and wont fire at all? ive replaced various parts over the past 12months including the Ignition switch, BERU coil pack, crankshaft sensor, 109 relay, mass air sensor, plugs & leads and various other bits. the only thing i havent yet changed is the ISV (0 280 140 512) as im not sure if this would stop the car from starting? ive removed the ISV and cleaned it, but noticed that the valve doesnt seem to open? even when the ignition switch is turned on! it just stutters but doesnt open fully? does this sound normal. Hi Does anybody know how to lower the electric windows when the battery is disconnected and the wiring is damaged, is there a manual winding thing like the sunroof has?? as i need to remove the rubber trim around the window to fit a new one along with the mechanism. :?: cheers nigwell

Hi When i ment my VR6 was faster than my mate's old 4motion i didnt mean on the motorway? i ment from a standstill up? and i agree on a motorway you would need a sh*t load of power to get away?? i also think it depends on the driver and again if the cars been modified etc? but im being honest with you as this is from my past experience regards nigwell

Hi My Mate had a MK4 4 Motion but my VR6 was a lot faster? 8) Mk4's are just to heavy thats why he got rid of it. He also owns 2 x 16v G60 Limiteds, as there are only 5 in the Uk and 50 worldwide? so they are quite rare but they go like a Rocket, one's pushing around 240bhp and the other should be pushing around 350bhp when hes finished?? (Bahn Brenner Twin Screw Charger). Regards Nigwell
