I thought you'd gone to Australia Steve?Ian.
I did Ian,
just thought it (January) was the wrong time to sell so I stored it for a few months, got it MOT'd, my dad is helping me sell it

Thanks steve. Let me know what I owe you - PayPal ok?Nothing mate, Sorry for the inconvinience, can I ask you just check the polarity and the other possible problem is that the inverters wiring is very thin and although I got the smallest gauge connectors I could find, it may be a problem on yours, Try connecting it across the battery and see if that helps, I'm off back to Australia on Monday, so if you can do this before then that would be great, if you can't I'll send you a replacement kit.

Sorry to hear that, PM me your details and I'll send you a replacement

Hi
If anyone is considering a 24v conversion, I'm selling my Storm, It's got the 2.8 24V AUE engine in (under 75K), I have spent a lot of time and money getting it to perform as it should, only needs to get Stealth to recalibrate the ECU for the 24V larger injectors to get CORRECT MPG reading ( at the moment it reads about 15-20% over)
check it out on

Thanks Sean,
I got it off a guy on this forum and fitted it myself, I have spent ages getting it to perform properly,as you know there's lots of little bits which make the 24V run properly
Very nice. Who did the engine conversion? -
Hi my Storm is on Ebay
Cheers

Hi Dave,
It's not quite that simple,
All the panels are made from scratch using unique tooling and methods developed by myself,
I have cutting templates, hole punches including the large one for the dials, Soldering the leads takes a bit of practice, laying up of colour film is the easy part,
If you want, PM me and we'll have a chat
cheers
Steve
Would you be prepared to send the parts list, prices, supplier details etc so that we can make up our own? -
I'm sorry but at the moment I am just too busy to make the panels,
I do however have one left,
Price is £4600, come with a free car!!!

Hi all,
Thanks for the text Ian, I'm really pleased you like it.
Sorry I've been really busy getting ready for our move back to Australia,
I'll have a think about doing another run and get back to you in a day or two,
It might be a case of doing a batch of 10, but I'd have to charge more because I wont get discount on the panels
cheers

Yes they are,
Hey are these still up for grabs please -
Hi
I have a TDi 5th gear set, this is the 0.717 ratio.
It will change the rpm at 70mph from 3000 to 2500, therefor increase MPG and decreasing engine wear,
Make use of the VR6 low down torque,
prefer pick up but can post
cheers
Steve
p.s 2nd photo shows a couple of free gearbox bits, up to you if you want them,

Any of the oem kits left mate? -
Hi Tony,
I'm around on Sunday from 5pm, possibly could make it home for 4pm at the earliest,
I'll PM you my details
cheers
Thanks JC and Sean for your replies and insight,Yes, I see what you mean. I guess the Climatronic control panel is basically 'fly-by-wire' so needs matching air-ducting gubbins, whereas the Corrado rotaries are cable operated, hence fairy drastic frankensteinien bodgery would be needed to try and mix and match, on top of what is already a complex project!
Am still interested, so would like to take these items if I may. I could collect this weekend, if that would be convenient.
thanks,
Tony
-
Hi, I can post them to Jersey but from my initial quotes, postage will be around £25-30
cheers
Steve
Hi there ....I'm in Jersey. Any interest in posting them? -
Hi Tony,
I'm sure it's possible, I think you just need an AC button and a recirculate button, then you'll need the motor section of the blower assembly,
However I'm not an AC expert, I rekon it'll be easier to do the full climatronic install
Hi, I'd be interested in this. In the 18 months I've had my VR, I've often thought about retro-fitting A/C. Just one question; as it's quite a complex job would I have the option, by not fitting all of the parts, to just make it normal A/C, i.e. without the climatronic part?thanks,
Tony

Thaks Sean
There was so much I wanted to do but I'm off to Australia in January, so all these plans have to be forwarded on to new folk
That's a good price. Good luck with it. The fan module isn't needed though if you have the late corrado fan module.Good luck selling, this is a great mod.
