Hi, the striker arm inside the handle breaks and you are unable to open the door from the outside but can still open from the inside.

I'm interested in at least one of your door handle repair kits. I have a feeling the passenger door may go out eventually as well. My problem, is when I pull the handle, nothing happens. From what I've been hearing, you have the solution. Could you explain in general what your kit does? My mechanic said that the mounting bracket, or something like that broke. But again, the symptom is not being able to open the door.

Hello! Noobie, here. Looking to finally start fixing up my VR6, regretfully she's been in neglect. Anyway, my exterior door handle on the driver's side doesn't work. You pull it, and nothing happens. It's in the shop right now, and my mechanic says I need a new door handle; the frame on the inside has cracked. I understand that there are Passat conversions for this sort of thing. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks! Glad I'm here.
