HiAsAKite 0 Posted October 3, 2004 Anyone here tried road rallying? I'm thinking of the kind that happens between 10pm and 5-6am on country roads with checkpoints and timed stages, covering about 180 miles of country roads over 6 hours or so... corradophil 3 Posted October 4, 2004 Ive done it, although it was nowhere near 180 miles. Good fun, my mate borrowed his mums old orion to do it in, I didnt want to use my Corrado and he wouldn't use his Audi. Definately need a car your not too concerned about. I was navigating, but felt quite sick through looking down all the time. Had to pull out due to worn out brake pads. Not done it since. It cost around £20 for a years membership to the club, and I think £5 on the night. We started from chelmsford.
coullstar 0 Posted October 4, 2004 A few of my friends do it and the car does get knackered prety quickly. There farm is littered with remnants of past used cars. He currently has an oak Green Mk2 16v sitting outside after the bottom end went pop.
