Where do I service my Corrado VR6

I have just bought a VR6 and live in the North West. The car has been serviced at Stealth Racing for the last 5 years and I would like to find a place with the same reputation in the Manchester/Blackpool area. Please help.

I had mine done at Dubsport recently. came to just over £150 for the 20,000 mile service and they seem to know their stuff.

There just off the m6 between blackpool and manchester ... Ideal !!

Thanks for the replies. I have heard that awsomegti have gone really downhill lately I think Dubsport looks like a sound option.

To be brutally honest, IMHO there isn't anyone in the NW that has as good a reputation as Vince and the mob at Stealth... :| That's why I trekked all the way down there with my gearbox to get it rebuilt and would take it down to him again if anything else needed doing which was outside of my abilities... 8)

I think I should hold the last 5 year service history and make my way down there whenever it needs doing up. I suppose they know the car and all it's history. By the way, where would I attempt to get some leather seats for my rado?

got mine on a "for sale" advert here... 8).... but then, I do spend half my life here so I managed to grab 'em quick before anyone else had chance! ;) :lol: :twisted:

Yeah, its well worth the trip and even better if they know the history of the car...

Dont even get me started!

 

Have taken my baby to Dubsport 3 times now, and it seems as though if you're not asking for 2 VR6 engines to be slotted in, they give it a :roll: of the eyes.

 

Just got my gear cable done by them, and a supposedly 2 1/2 hour job took 2 1/2 days. This wasn't a huge problem for me, but when i got the car back, the heat sheilding around the bulkhead which you can see when the bonnets up looked like a hand grenade had gone off in it, plus the exhaust is rattling like a bastard on the rear axle.

 

The first time went there, the lad who has tats up his arm was so ignorant he wound me up to the point where I almost lost my usually unwavering laid back outlook.

 

He COMPLETELEY blanked me when i came into the otherwise empty reception and made my "Hello, I'm here to drop my car off for a cam belt change" statement.

Then, after eventually snatching my keys from me, left me standing there for what felt like an hour before finally deciding to look up at me to say "Are you still here because you want to talk to the mechanic?"

I found myself asking why I'd thought getting towed 6 miles to a `specialist' was favourable over going to the garage 2 minutes away from my house for what was after all a non Corrado specific job!

 

Must be daft!
