NormanCoal 0 Posted October 7, 2004 I can take a pic of a loom if that helps?
VR6 0 Posted October 7, 2004 The loom is very complicated. Making one up from scratch is not going to be easy.
aposegil 0 Posted October 7, 2004 u can still buy them new from VW
VR6 0 Posted October 7, 2004 You can indeed. Make sure you're sitting down when you hear the price (including the switch!). I happen to have a spare VAG loom for both the heating and the electric plus a couple of switches as well. I just don't think Furki liked the price! Furkz 0 Posted October 7, 2004 VR6, dont mean to offend at all,,,, but i jus think at the moment i can spend my cash in other areas to maintain the car,,,also thought if it was simple or simple enuff(which it prob aint) jus to make one up to see if the actual things work...could u PM me details and price again,, i have honestly forgot!!! Pics and anything would be ideal cheers guys wouldnt like togo VW on these thats for sure....would need surgery afterwards
VR6 0 Posted October 7, 2004 No worries mate ... I just guessed that, as I got no response, you didn't like the price! :) I also thought about making the loom up myself as well - how hard could it be?! If I get chance over the weekend, I'll take a pic of the *proper* loom! It's daunting! I bought the second loom as the heating is still not working on my car, so I'm not sure if it's the loom .... the spare loom was for comparison or replacement. The switch from VAG is around £50 + VAT on its own!
Furkz 0 Posted October 7, 2004 The switch from VAG is around £50 + VAT on its own! F-DAT cant u use a switch from the breakers??? from any vag car ??? or can u not jus use a on-off switch jus to test it winter is coming so it would be a nice touch......otherwise i hear ASDA sell some cheap jackets LOL
aposegil 0 Posted October 8, 2004 Well if all goes well in the next coming weeks my interior will be up forsale (black heated leathers) I have a early and late switch with complete loom and ill be offering one of the switches to the buyer. So you could buy the other one of me?? also GPC can get the stuff alot cheaper than VW so give them a call
