buttles 0 Posted November 3, 2004 Sorry for dragging brakes up again. Has anyone seen an inprovement to pedal feel by replacing the master cylinder seals. All the other things like rear calipers and the like have been checked but still get fairly spongey pedal. Or are they allways like that?!! The pedal doesn't sink when held down so no internal leakage. Cheers.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted November 3, 2004 Yep VR6 brakes have always been a bit spongey. Replacing all 6 rubber flexi hoses with braided Goodridge ones helps enormously though. I've found a lot of the pedal action is governed by the rear brakes too. Since I've stuck thicker MK4 pads in the back, the pedal has been pretty solid with reduced travel.
