Kevin Bacon 5 Posted November 9, 2004 I've got one of Gav's looms, which was already fitted to the car when I got it. There aren't any instructions in the service history but when I turn the engine off, the dipped beams stay on. With the standard loom, they switch off. Anyone know what's been bodged when it was fitted? Cheers
JBOB 0 Posted November 9, 2004 My car did this when i first fitted Gavins loom until i read the bottom part of his instructions  If the car has a dim-dip facility i.e. the headlights come on dimly at the same time as the sidelights. The dim-dip will need to be disconnected. This is fitted to most, post ’88 cars. At the front right hand side of the engine compartment you will find the series resistor, it looks like a coil about 10cm long. Disconnect the yellow and the yellow and black wires and insulate them. Quoted from Gavin hope you dont mind mate.

h100vw 0 Posted November 9, 2004 I can't claim copyright as I started making looms after a week's work placement at TSR  Gavin
coullstar 0 Posted November 9, 2004 Is there a way of increasing the full beam power? I have uprated the mainbeam but as soon as you put full beam on they are shit again?
