Driveshaft prob

To cut a long story short, the thread on the end of the driveshaft has sheered off and taken the nut with it.

 

Just wondered where the best place to get a new driveshaft would be?

Also I'm getting due to put a new engine in and is it worth sticking to the G60 shafts or uprating them due to me hoping for around 260bhp, and if which ones should I go for?

its an outer cv joint you need.

if you are going for some big power, then replacing the inners and outers would be a good thing.

if anything, for peace of mind.

yeah defo replace them my 16v golf stripped all the bolts and smashed a hole in the gearbox after it had new cams and bored out to 2.0l in the 90s that was a right pain :mad: use new bolts too with the cv joints!!

I'll keep that it mind. The car is back up and running now thanks to my mate (head mechanic at a stealers :D ).

 

Just need to get a new set of centre caps for the wheels, due the the nut popping off and taking that with it :cry:
