corradophil 3 Posted December 2, 2004 Are you sure its the rev counter - its electronic, so suprised it can make a noise at all. Are you sure your engines not pinking at around 3000rpm under high load? This could be described as a funny tinkling noise. If it is, the noise should go when you let off the throttle. mrbeige 0 Posted December 2, 2004 No it sounds like a rattling type sound. and t's definately coming from the rev counter. Could it be the little spring that is attached to the needle?
bcstudent 0 Posted December 2, 2004 Yeah, mine emits a kind of ticking/rattling noise too. I even disconnected the speedo to eliminate that. Solution? Install a louder stereo.
Supercharged 2 Posted December 2, 2004 I'd check the screws holding the dash shelves in place...
anubis 0 Posted December 2, 2004 Yeah, mine used to make a rattling sound, and it was the screws in the dash surround that needed tightning.

The noise seems to be just at that pitch that you can hear it over the stereo :( :( And I don't think its the dash screws, I've checked all of them! :(
