Getting the Horn

Recommended Posts

Can anyone help!! Have left my N reg VR6 sitting for a few months and it developed a fault of the horn coming on constantly during driving. Its a bit rude blowing one's horn along the Totton bypass behind an innocent Fiat. It's both horns and it feels fine at the horn end and the only way I can stop it is by pulling the fuse 13. Even pulling off the steering wheel centre does not help. The horn performs normally when pushed. Both relays are clicking away too when I push the horn. Can't see any short but it appears to me to be around the fuse/relay end. Anyone any ideas??

i remember someone else having the same problem a while ago, the horn inadvertantly 'beeped' at passers by, and his wife/girlfriend was none too impressed with him thinking he was beeping at girls!

anyway i'm pretty sure he found the fault, try a search for 'horn' (on the forum...deffinatly not on google! )
