2cc 0 Posted December 14, 2004 OK so I'm finally getting down to sorting the clutch and timing chains, but will someone please tell me how to disconnect the big multi-plug on the side of the engine - without breaking it. Be blowed if I can see how it works! Tks
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted December 14, 2004 You twist the inner ring through 90 degrees and it pops off
2cc 0 Posted December 15, 2004 kevhaywire wrote and it pops off Is that straight from the Haynes manual of removal techniques then Kev? Busy today but will attend to breaking it tomorrow Cheers
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted December 15, 2004 Nah, the Haynes procedure is :- Wear protective goggles, hard hat and reinforced gloves Remove engine Remove petrol tank Slacken the support columns on the Forth bridge Remove battery Rotate inner lock ring and then withdraw connector Refitting is the reverse of removal
