yalan 0 Posted February 2, 2005 can anyone tell me what size the piston is on the 16v calipers? Just want to work out whether the master cylinder is more up to the job of driving a set of front or rear 4-pots off a porker. Cheers.

yalan 0 Posted February 13, 2005 cheers for the MC size info..... but am still looking for piston size ...... Anyone got a spare one sitting in their garage they could take a vernier to??? EDIT: measured my own: 53.8mm (ISH) Meaning that boxster / boxster S / 996 rear calipers are absolutely no use due to their piddly small pistons - almost half the combined fluid volume they'd need to be as useful replacements for OEM parts.
