1 wheel inside arch other flush with arch

Recommended Posts

After doing my conversion and changing from avo coilovers to Fk's

The passenger wheel sits inside the arch nicely even thou i am using 15mm spacers on front but the drivers is sit flush with the arch.

I've swapped wheels over and is the same.

As far as i know the ride height is set near bang on with each other

Anyone with some ideas as to what could cause this?

I thought something might be bent under there but its been looked over and nothing shouts out that its bent

No expert but I believe if you remove the 2 pinch bolts that hold the suspen strut you bugger up the camber. That requires speciallst re-setting tools from VW (Circa 100 of your good ole english pounds) or some specialist outlets have this capability. could be the prob?

I thought camber and had this done by a very good tyre garage, used them all the time thru owning cars,

Nothing wrong there or so what is thought?

So this has only happened since fitting the FKs? That would outrule the wing alignment on the driver's side and implicate the FK strut on that side....as a thought. Although half a degree too much positive camber is enough to poke the wheel out visibly.

As far as i'm aware it has but i also dropped to 17's with fk where as the avos were with 18's

Thinking that maybe there was some arch contact on the point of arch and thats pulled it in?

could this be possibility?
