Flo 0 Posted March 2, 2005 Looking into sending my car into Stealth to get the chains done. Is it worth getting a gas flowed head at the same time? Will i notice a difference from the standard head? Mine definately needs a rebuild anyway and wondering if its worth upgrading whilst its in there. Apart from a K&N panel filter, my car is standard. many thanks
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted March 2, 2005 Your money would be better spent on a Schrick or some cams, or both. You'll notice a difference with a big valve head but rudimentary flowing won't make much difference on the VR.
thorpey 0 Posted March 2, 2005 may as well get the cams as well as th head and best get shrick they are worth the extra monay
Flo 0 Posted March 2, 2005 A shrick is nearl 3 times the price of a flowed head, though. Always been wary of cams, as the car is mainly a town car and dont want to lose too much low down. I suppose the shrick would compensate though. Is there anything else you'd recommend whilst the cars is in?

Flo 0 Posted March 2, 2005 Well, apparently they do a deal. Chains, clutch and head rebuild £1400 inc Vodka And Tonic. Can anyone confirm this? and anyone had it done?
