Tekara 0 Posted March 5, 2005 The time has come to replace my aging tyres. After seeing many people praise the Bridgestone RE720's i thought i'd go with them. Serveral places ive called have told be these are being discontiued, and are being replaced by the RE040. Anyone had any experience with RE040, are they any good ? Looked on tyretest and seems to be a mixed responce Or should i just buy up some of the RE720's
Supercharged 2 Posted March 5, 2005 Hmmm, I didn't think the 040 was a replacement, just a different tyre...
Tekara 0 Posted March 5, 2005 From looking at the tread design thats what i thought. Stopped off at a local place on the way home. They have those two tires listed on their system and the RE720 is nearly out while the 040 had plenty they too made the broad assumption that its a replacement. Joe M 0 Posted March 5, 2005 I got the 720's recently after seeing them praised on here and there definately worth it if you can get a hold of them. Try http://www.mytyres.co.uk/
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted March 6, 2005 If the Avon ZZ3 is available in 205/50/15, give those a whirl. I've been very impressed with them in 17" size. A bit better in the wet than the RE720 and loads better in the dry than the F1.
