possible lambda probe probs whats the symptoms

My 2.0 16v 1995 is running like a bag of shite using allot of fuel 20mpg max i can get, slight mis fire after reving the car when the revs are dying back down are these consistant with my thinking lambda probe probs all help welcome

hi coley,sounds like mine did and it was the lambda.one sure fire way to find out....stick it on a diagnostic machine but not a vagcom.Let me know if u need help mate,i know someone that can check it for u and it wont cost too much.Believe me,its worth getin it checked because u will drive yourself round the bend otherwise.It only takes a couple of minutes and is worth knowing whatd wrong.Pm me if u need help
