Walesy 0 Posted March 12, 2005 Hi...my 2.0 8v's running REALLy cold :shock: .. as in the needle rises when the cars stationary but when i start driving it drop right down tho nothing! ...ive been told by a mod on here this sounds like i need to change my thermostat ,just wondering if anyone knows a link to where i can get info on how to do this?? cheers! :) Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Guest Posted March 12, 2005 The thermostat is located right on the bottom of the water pump on your car. If you follow your lower rad hose down to the water pump it will terminate at a black cover, this is wheere the thermostat is. You will also notice that your power steering pump is mounted right under this so you will have to drop it but it isn't too hard of a job. There are a couple of bolts for the adjustment hidden on the rear above the support bracket but it shouldn't be too hard to get out of the way.
