tips on changing g60 waterpump?

any advice for someone who never done it on a corrado/g60 before?

 

does the charger need removing? :?

 

as you can probably tell?

any tips appreciated!

Take it to a garage!!!!! Done mine last weekend and it was a pain in the arse. Seriously tho, not that bad, just time consuming and fiddly (well it was for me, first time doing it). Just watch when putting the charger back on that you don't thread any of the bolt holes. Are you doing the pump, thermostat and the housing? The only other thing I'd say (which I found out from Henny after I'd done mine) is replace the crazy clips that hold the coolant pipes on with jubilee clips. Makes life alot easier. Oh, and clean up the mating surfaces as well as you can.

cheers m8,ive got the pump bolted on now,just having some dinner.

 

ya not kidding about it being a knightmare job,feckinell!
