sensor or not a sensor

Recommended Posts

Just fitted a power rohr to my vr6 and on removing the pipe from the oil breather i found it had a big split in it (the pipe not the breather). So i have now replaced that with a new bit of pipe but as i couldnt get one with bends in it I have removed what seems to be a fake sensor. I un plugged it and it has no pins in it and just seems to be a plastic tube ? Do i need this what does it do ? I took the car for a quick spin and it seems to runb fine has a bit more bottom end if anything.

It is a dummy plug just to keep the wiring of the car tidy. American VRs had a heating element there (I think), something for cold starts etc.

Dont worry about it, alll UK vrs have this.

Whats a power rohr by the way??

Timo.

Thanks for the reply. The power rohr is just a polished pipe to replace the crapy plastic bend on the air intake after the mass meter
