outside temp sensor

I have a wire with a blue clip on the end hanging down just inside the front bumper on the drivers side - I presume this is the outside temp sensor? is there a housing for this or does it just hang?

Without going out to look at my C it sounds like the temp sensor. It clips in to the lower part of the front bumper.

It should poke through a hole in the plastic work somewhere, about half inch in diameter.
