ok to use meths or turps to clean paintwork??

gotta get sticky stuff off and i have both of the above but no white spirit or the before menitoned "sticky stuff remover"...anyone know if its ok to use either of the fluids i have or do i need to go out and get a new one??

meths wont be much good, I think turps is much the same as white spirit

 

CHECK IT FIRST somewhere that won't be seen... don't take my word for it
