Headlights

Can someone tell me if early and late headlights are the same?

No on early one's the glass lens is not as deep as later ones the later headlights had deeper glass to match up with the newer grill apart from the glass and the black trim their the same

carpy25, But do they have the same clips and are assembled the same way?

yes same mountings and inter changable parts

 

four tabs and a piece of sticky tape hold the lens trim on and about 12 or so clips hold the lens on

Yep, the early ones are about 2cm off the later ones so you need the black surround as well...
