Bobby 0 Posted May 2, 2005 Anybody know if the mk2 golf and corrado 1.8 kr rear engine mounts are the same as i need to replace the rear one in my corrado and wonder if its worth getting an uprated one. Not sure about a solid one, as i don't want my car to shake itself to bits, any suggestions
andycowuk 0 Posted May 2, 2005 its the same. prob not worth upgrading the rear mount alone, as the majority of play comes from the front one anyway. I have a solid front mount, it isnt quite as silky smooth as before on idle, but the difference when you come off the power a bit then back on far outways this imho. _leon_ 0 Posted May 2, 2005 at a guess an uprated rear will only wear down the other 2 quicker...

Bobby 0 Posted May 3, 2005 changed the front one recentlr along with the front mount bracket but it still seems that the engine has movement when i take off, must be the back one, is it any easy job like the front one or does the rusty exhaust manifold have to come off, i hope not
