dr_mat 0 Posted May 3, 2005 bouncy AND stiff? make yer mind up! ;) the back end of a VR6 weighs exactly the same the back end of a 2.0 16v (apart from a single extra wheel bolt either side..), and according to the factory the only difference between the two dampers is the presence of gas in the VR6 ones. I asked. The gas under pressure means that the oil doesn't "boil" under heavy use, and they maintain their damping control longer under load.
