StuartFZR400 0 Posted May 5, 2005 Cheers Kev, seems postage is only £2, making it £58. Im fitting them next weekend, I've got one, so need a pair. Onto my BBS, along with a new fitment of my Bilstiens too; fingers crossed. Cant wait. Glad you say they're good rubber ; Im not a huge fan of these Toyos. Kevin Bacon 5 Posted May 5, 2005 Everybody that's used 9000s rates them highly and they're standard fit to some pretty high end cars. I need to get 4 tyres soon, so might get those or maybe some Uniroyal RainSports as they're also very good, particularly in the rain as the name suggests :D
StuartFZR400 0 Posted May 6, 2005 Can anyone confirm what the letter 'Z' means, and does it matter? I thought it was a speed rating, ie z = over 149. I have one sp9000 195/50/15 R , but no Z on it ; does it matter if I were to buy a Z rated tyre to sit on the opposite wheel?
Jim 2 Posted May 6, 2005 Britannia Tyres do 195/50/15V Eagle F1 GSD3's for about £46 a corner which I believe is as cheap as buying them online, if not better! I'd also imagine that, if you wanna stick with the Dunlops, they'd do good prices on those too! :)
Supercharged 2 Posted May 6, 2005 StuartFZR400, you need at least V rated, that tyre you have may be an old one?? - never seen one without a speed rating before....
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted May 6, 2005 Yeah, Z, W and Y are 149+. All you need is a V as Steve said, which is up to 149mph.
Musicman 0 Posted May 6, 2005 http://www.blackcircles.com/ £53.87 inc VAT and delivery, mail order. £66.21 fitted at a local dealer (Stoney Stanton Road, Coventry)
StuartFZR400 0 Posted May 6, 2005 Cheers lads. Maybe I didnt see the speed rating, will look again. Britannia dont do the sp9000; and Im after them cos I've already got one bran-spanker. Blackcircles seem ok if i were to go to 524 Stoney Stanton rd. Or I may just go with topgear, cheaper via post.
