rmn 0 Posted May 16, 2005 hi, i am changing the rear disks on my daily driver 16v corrado (see pics in my gallery  ) I have ordered the disks, but i need to know can i remove the abs rings from the old one or do i need new ones from the dealer? And are they pressed on or how are they attached I am kind of cheating by asking here, i havent even looked at my cars setup yet to see how it works thanks
gibber 0 Posted May 16, 2005 I changed mine at thwe weekend, just pried them off with 2 screw drivers, and gave them a good wire brushing, then tapped them onto the new disks!
dazzyvr6 0 Posted May 16, 2005 i changed my rear discs and used the old abs cage, but they worked loose so the abs doesnt work now,for the price of new ones you may as well change them
olly elworthy 0 Posted May 16, 2005 for those of you re-using abs cages why not apply some red loc tite to them before tapping them back into place?
