help please! fuel leaking on g60! * fixed wahooooo *

guys i need help!

 

ive got a bad fuel leak from around the fuel pressure regulater,its leaking all over the manifold which is nice!

 

what will be wrong?

although it dosnt look like the pipe thats leaking on mine,sort of coming from the mounting face of the fpr. :?

 

im still learning about these things so i dont really know what im looking at.

It's not the fuel pipes... ;)

 

check the bolts that hold the FPR onto the end of the fuel rail are tight, that the O rings on the injectors and on the FPR to fuel rail are all OK and aren't perished and that the fuel rail itself isn't damaged... 8)

 

Get it sorted BEFORE you go anywhere in the car as this could cause an serious engine fire... :|

sorted it,thank god! :D

 

the seal on the fpr was split :?

 

luckily a m8 had a spare fpr with a good lookin seal on it.

it's probably worth actually buying a NEW one to replace the second hand one with... If it's a case of a few pence and a couple of minutes work to swap it for a new one, then in my eyes, it's worth it for the peace of mind... ;)

in fact i was wondering about,is it the 3.5 bar fpr?

 

not sure if its worth it with the standardish spec as yet?

 

decat/superchip/boost return/70mm pulley/stage 2 jabba charger 10ish k ago.

only worth it if you have a chip which requires it... otherwise you'll just screw your fuelling up and run rich... :|

ahh right i see.

 

no probs,theres other things need tending to anyway.

 

in fact later on i will replace the fpr seal with a new one,just realised i may have one up at the unit! :-P
