The seller usually sells Hornby OO kit and old Meccano kits. Perhaps that's what the front end of that C is made out of?

Oh, and you don't have to pay the full ebay fees (a %age of final sale price) unless the item actually sells, though it costs to put a reserve price on aswell, and that cost is based on the reserve price you set. This will not be anything like £300 tho.
