Jez 0 Posted July 13, 2005 Have to change me plug leads but pulling them out with brute force doesn't seem a good idea. Anyone know where to get the tool (preferrably specific to vr6 engines) to remove them? Taking the inlet manifold off seems far too much work to get to them, I find it hard to believe vw would engineer it that way. Plus I can't be arsed doing that. Chris VR6nos 0 Posted July 13, 2005 The VW tool is fine though it doesn't work on mine as they are aftermarket ones i think, i use a pair of long nosed pliers and as long as you are careful and get purchase on the boot of the plug lead then you should be able to get them off and on easily enough. Stan 24v 0 Posted July 13, 2005 There was a post here a few weeks back. You can get a metal one too, its a lot better. Try doing a search.
