stingman123 0 Posted August 1, 2005 Everyone, My Corrado is going to be back on the road tomorrow, after having to fit a new engine as the last one blew! The questions I have are these... Do I need to fill out my logbook with the new VIN? Does this count as a mod? Would I need to notify the insurance companies? Any help would be appreciated Thanks
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted August 1, 2005 Yeah you should notify the DVLA of any changes..... Insurance don't need to know unless the output has been increased.
Joe M 0 Posted August 1, 2005 If your with elephant/admiral/bell direct there is a tickbox on the modifications section of there site that asks "standard replacement engine" so some companies do want to know if its been replaced. I had to go for this on mine and there was no increase.
Joe M 0 Posted August 1, 2005 Oh, and there is a bit on the logbook to fill out a new engine number.
