dandare 0 Posted August 10, 2005 Hi peeps, currently running a Lupo sport but im after a second car. Obviously a Corrado other wise I wouldnt be here. Not too familliar with what I should look out for when buying. I know there were 1.8's 2.0l's, G60 and VR6's, is that them all? I feel the VR6 is currently out of my price range, but can probably afford a G60, is this a good investment over the remaining ones? Basically what should I look out for and avoid when buying a Corrado. Thanks for the advice. Oh and my budget is currently £1500, I know this is low but all I want is one with 6 months tax and test, and then take it off the road to modify early next year. Thanks again. Supercharged 2 Posted August 10, 2005 No probs - with a budget of £1500 i'd stick to the 16v's to be honest... good G60's are hard to find now and even if you do find one for that money it's bound to need a grand spending on it straight away... Good luck with your search and as always with old cars, make sure you look at/drive a few and don't settle for the first one you see!
Neil VR6 0 Posted August 11, 2005 Also budget in for things that usually need replacing on Corrado's like rear suspension bushes, rear brake calipers etc. Corrado's are difficult to run on a tight budget, especially if you like using original VAG parts! :) Find a sound enthusiast-owned one though and you'll be laughing.
