Putting Golf GTI Wheels onto G60

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've got a scrap Golf GTI (S Reg) and want to put the wheels onto my G60. Obviously this isn't going to be as easy as it sounds as they are 5 stud and the G60 is 4 stud.

Does anyone know what/if I can swap the stuff onto my car so I can use these wheels?

Cheers.

i think that you can change the hubs to VR6 ones and that should do the job....

dont rely on just my opinion tho cos i have been out of the loop for a bit and cant remember but i remember something like this as well as people wanting to put TT alloys on them

sell everything from the golf on ebay and hope that you get enough for a new set of wheels and hub conversion if you still want to go 5 stud m8

have the et of the golf wheels increased to et55 and use 20mm 4x100 to 5x100 adapters, there are a few wheel refurb places that offer this service.

What I ideally wanted to do was swap hubs and brakes etc off the Golf so I can put the other wheels on but also so that i get a bit better brakes etc. If no-one has done it before then I might just go down the adapter route instead.

Thanks for all the replies!

You can swap the hubs off a VR Corrado onto a different C, but the fronts aren't an easy swap...
