stormseeker 0 Posted July 27, 2003 As kevhaywaire had mentioned Neuspeed in some other thread, I was having a look around their website, and came across these power pulleys that are supposedly going to give you an extra 5HP at the wheels. (for some reason the Corrado Forum code doesn't like some characters in the neuspeed.com website's URLs so get copying & pasting if you want to look...) Now, I can see how making them lighter could do this, but they also mention "... and resizing the diameters to slow the drive speed of the alternator and power steering pump". Wonder how much they've slowed them :?: - don't fancy having a noticeable change in power steering effort, or flat batteries in winter.... edit:Looking at their dyno plots the power gain only look apparent over 5500 rpm anyway.... Kevin Bacon 5 Posted July 28, 2003 It's mainly the alernator that slows the engine down. The more current it draws, the bigger the load it puts on the engine. Slowing it down slightly won't hurt and slowing the PAS pump down is a good thing imo on the C. kev
