Andy665 0 Posted September 6, 2005 I am signing up for this tomorrow. I know Steve Cropley, Autocars Editor In Chief and he reckons a course like this is worth approx 50BHP so seems like a bargain at £360 - should make me safer and quicker Headlines[web]http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/news/defau ... ryId=11788[/web]
dinkus 10 Posted September 6, 2005 Ah good stuff :) Learning to drive properly is the cheapest mod you can have to make your car (and indeed anyone else's car that you drive) go faster 8) Edit: Heh heh - I just noticed your sig... when you say 'loved', do you mean in the corradowales (and increasingly, it would seem 2cc) way? ;)
Andy665 0 Posted September 6, 2005 I believe there are still places available - course normally retails at £1250, I reckon £360 is fantastic value for money

dinkus 10 Posted September 6, 2005 No, seriously... if you can drive the car to the limit, it will go as quick, if not quicker than adding 50bhp.
GIXXERUK 0 Posted September 7, 2005 do you get discount on your insurance after or do you have to declare yourself as a mod :-)

Musicman 0 Posted September 7, 2005 Like of those questions I get constantly asked: How do I make my computer faster? My usual answer: learn to touch type :)
dinkus 10 Posted September 7, 2005 That's the best thing - it's not a mod, so you don't have to declare it! If you think you can drive quickly, you haven't seen what a pro can do with your car... It's never too late to learn ;)

JoeNose 0 Posted September 7, 2005 Hmm, training from a BTCC champion. How many folks are trained per day I wonder...
dinkus 10 Posted September 7, 2005 If there's no room on that course, and you're willing to wait a few months, Andy Walsh does a driver training day at North Weald airfield just off the M11. He's an ex F1 test driver, misc championships under his belt, one of the top 3% qualified instructors in the country, teaches the police driving instructors and is mad as a hatter :) http://www.carlimits.com £170 each and 4 people in total for the day. I can guarantee you'll be grinning like an idiot by the end of it :D
