VEEDUBBED 0 Posted September 7, 2005 Air lock probably, did you bleed the system after changing the oil?,turn steering wheel slowly from lock to lock and it should expell any air present within the rack/pipes. 1 word of caution, dont overfill the rack's fluid bottle because any oil above the MAX mark is then forced out of the red cap's breather hole, all over your engine... Supercharged Junkie 0 Posted September 7, 2005 Did bleed the system by first starting and the stopping the engine until all the oil was sucked into the pipes, then left it to idle for a while followed by turn the wheel lock to lock, althou i turned the wheel quickly not slowly. Most of the air bubbles in the bottle when gone, still had a little but not much. Will do it again and see what happens Cheers Ian Oh by the way, if anyone needs to know the PAS system takes about a litre of fluid. Looked everywhere to find how much oil i needed, ended up buying to bottles of green PAS fluid to be on the safe side.
