StormVR6 0 Posted September 8, 2005 I'm just curious about how the air intake temperature may differ between a standard box air filter and an aftermarket cone etc. If anyone has a VR with stock filter and VAG-COM then please (if you can be arsed) report your temps. Obviously it would be good to have temps reported that derive from a warmed up engine! Preferably when the fans have kicked in (will show hottest intake). And I should also say while the car is parked and idling. I'm interested if the stock box actually shields the filter considerably, thus reducing intake temp. Cheers peeps.
