at a guess id say its probably the rear lights?

you could get someone to hose the car down while you sit in the back with the seats down and check for it.

you could remove the light and use a little smear of clear silicone on the rubber seal,be carefull tightening them back up too.

Also check your VW badge and your Corrado badge - they both have little yellow clips which hold into the bodywork. If they are damaged and not seated correctly, I think water can come in through those. Clips for the badges are available from VW - worth replacing them just to make sure they are fitting tightly to the bodywork? :)

But Neil says - it does look likely that the lights are the cause judging by where the water is pooling..

jobs a good 'un. :)

me being a bit anal and all...

id probably remove the badge and put a little silicone on each of the clips.

edit:then knowing my luck it would start leaking in the light...

Also just as a check has your rear windscreen washer pipe snapped off. As this caused quite a lot of water within my boot when i first got my G60

Jim was right........it was the Corrado badge letting the water in (alot too i might add) making the carpet very wet........ went in through the back seats with a torch when it was chucking it down. put some silicon on the gromets and vasaline over the top and all is sorted, Many Thanks for all the replies gang.

Chris.
