LowG 0 Posted September 16, 2005 If you will be doing a turbo kit and using a spacer could you find out where to get Vernier timing wheels for the 12V VR to correct the timing which is way out especially if a spacer is used! Chris Timing wont be way out, the tensioner takes up a bit of slack with the regular headgasket, this allows for the few extra mm added lift. Idealy the adjustable cam pulley would be a nice touch but its not necessary in this case. We have 2 spacers, one is for 9:1 cr and the other for those wanting to run more boost is 8.5:1. These spacers are stainless steel laser cut and are very reliable, have been used in cars running 20psi+ of boost with no problems. This is a cost effective way out for not spending on pistons but by no means is of low quality. More on the topic, the turbos used will be of T4 trim, specs can vary on customers choice ie spoolup and max power. Other turbos can also be used.
