dazzyvr6 0 Posted August 3, 2003 is it worth me going for "uprated" top mounts such as bonrath?also seen some cheaper versions from venom for £50ish..or would the standard ones be just as good?
GazzaG60 0 Posted August 4, 2003 bought uprated rubber G60 ones from GCC a while back. Had bonrath blue on order for around 6 months and didn't get um. they never turned up. Running the voilovers they are ok. think it needs that bit of cushioning otherwise the feel ofn the car gets spoiled.
Si B 0 Posted August 4, 2003 I used some Shorter uprated Bonrath top mounts on my Mk2 project car and they were an absolute nightmare. They didn't fit properly, cost a fortune and didn't lower the car at all so I wouldn't recomend them. Just stick with the std G60 ones.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted August 4, 2003 Agreed on the Bonraths, had some on my Golf and they were awful. VR6 ones are plenty good enough and last for ages. My VR had it's first replacements at 74,000 miles. Kev
