my afr gauge readings...?

Recommended Posts

just after a definate answer here as to wether this sounds right or not.

i have one of the duostyling gauges.

cold start at tickover:stays fully rich for a while.

warm tickover:fluctuates from far end of ok to fully rich.

any driving on part throttle:fluctuates as above.

full throttle:stays fully rich.

backing off throttle:possible problem? it sits at far end of ok,sometimes just into the rich part.

what ya think guys?

neil. :)

hello mate hows your luck !! have you got to the bottom of your recent problem?

as for your afr ,according to the duostyling web site it should fluctuate between,lean/ok when up to temp at idel.

and when under load ok/rich.

i have the same afr and according to there web site mine works correct.

have you soldered the wires or used the clamp on connectors that came with the gauge???when i first fitted the gauge i used the clamp on connectors and the readings where all over the place, fitted a new lambda sensor and new loom connector at the same time this weekend and readings are perfect "according to duo's website"

cars running better too

i still have a few problems with my idel that need to be sorted ,thats why i have replaced all of the above, but still not got to the bottom of it....

the fun of a g-ladder

regards kevin

Might be something with your chip Neil. Maybe they took out the over-run fuel cut off?

If not then your throllte closed switch would be my next guess.

thanks guys, gavin i know you answered this in another topic,i wasnt not believing you or anything.

just wanted a new topic on the one problem :D

tested the throttle switches yesterday, the closed throttle has continuity when shut, and then it dosnt when open.

full throttle switch has none when closed and does when clicked.

kevin, seem to have sorted it somehow!

mixture of a few things i think, vac pipe/fpr pipe, and the setting up that ant did helped.

afr is connecyed via crimp jobby and very tightly taped up,the loom is new too as i had to repair it.

mmmm, maybe the superchip or the lambda? could lambda be damaged from overfilling the oil?

cheers,neil.
