Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 10, 2005 Nope, G60s use a completely different clutch to the MK2 Golf.
task 0 Posted October 10, 2005 alright thanks, which vw shares the same clutch as the g60.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 10, 2005 02A 16V and VR6 IIRC. Basically, the 020 gearbox in the MK2 is rod change and use the 'reverse' flywheel method, i.e. the pressure plate bolts to the crank and the flywheel attaches to the pressure plate. The 02A box (all Corrado, cable change) is the other way round....flywheel bolts to the crank. The VR6 genuine VW clutch is the best to use on a G60 as it can take 300hp all day long, so gives you plenty of scope for tuning.
Supercharged 2 Posted October 10, 2005 task, what do you actually need?? If its a G60 then get either a G60 clutch or a VR6 clutch... (the VR one is cheaper and better)
g60greeny 0 Posted October 13, 2005 so the vr clutch is a straight swap?
